Today’s our last day in Cape Cod. We decided last minute to take a quick little trip, and so… literally, I only had time to pack a small bag for me and the boys (and Matt asked for extra room!).

While we “down the Cape”… we don’t do anything but go to the beach and eat out. We always choose places that are totally relaxed and 100% family-friendly. Little “beach shacks” that are popular and oh-so-delish filled to the brim with chowder (of chowdah!), clam cakes and lobster.

For someone like me who CRAVES fashion, there’s something very liberating about wearing something totally easy. Every summer I always wear a tankini so I can wear it to the beach and then right to the restaurants!

This year I found a gorgeous one at Lands’ End… it’s perfect because I can easily rock this with a black bikini bottom, as well as white shorts or black shorts when we’re heading to grab lunch or dinner right from the beach.

Honestly, this was the best suit to pack because I literally only needed to make sure I had clothes for bed and late nights playing mini-golf! If you’re heading on a total beach vacation, go for it!
