Shawn Johnson Dishes about her time in London and the P&G Family Home

I had the amazing opportunity through P&G to meet Shawn Johnson and her mother this past May at one of the “Thank you, Mom” media events in NYC. I’ve been such a fan of Shawn, so meeting her in person was such a treat for me!

I was sad to see Shawn retire this year from Gymnastics. I remember seeing the news alert come in my inbox, and I felt sad for Shawn because when I saw her in early May, she expressed how excited she was for the upcoming trials and (hopeful) Games. She was just having repeated setbacks with her left knee, making the London Games look more and more impossible. It took such courage to do what she did, and I commend her for doing so. She needed to think about herself and her health.

I was ecstatic to see her still heading to London, and as working as a P&G correspondent at the P&G Family Home in London.

Shawn was sweet enough to shoot a video for my Mom Generations readers and to answer some questions that I had!!
