It didn’t truly dawn on me until I saw Ike Lochte being interviewed by Matt Lauer on the Today Show that the moms and family (and friends) don’t have the ability to see the athletes regularly while they’re there in London.

I knew that what P&G was doing for the families of the athletes was impressive and important, but I didn’t truly grasp just how NEEDED it was until I was in that moment watching her. Actually, Ike even mentioned how the P&G Family Home in London was taking such great care of her and allowing her to relax.

It was amazing to think just how truly special the P&G Family Home in London is to these families. It’s their place to be while away from home. It is, quite honestly… their home while they’re in London.

I was excited to see that former U.S. Olympian, John Macready was the official host of the P&G Family Home in London, and he helped through a fabulous Opening Ceremony Party for the families!

The place is just INSANELY cool and such a wonderful place for the families to come and just be with each other. A home base.
