Daily Diary: Tough Day turns into the Most Blessed Day!

Ahhh… the adventures of life!

Matt’s 6-month Dana Farber Cancer Institute appointment was scheduled for today months ago.  On the agenda?  6-month cat scan and a check-up with his doctor.  To say I’ve been dreading and nervous about “August 21st” is an understatement. I’ve been a nervous wreck!

What I didn’t figure into the equation was that we would be going through another medical situation, too… right at the same time, and another personal issue, too.  I opted to have a D&C, and yesterday my doctor informed me that he had “tomorrow morning available.”  Oh, yes… meaning the morning of August 21st.  I wasn’t sure what to do.  I didn’t want to put off my D&C for a week, but I also didn’t want Matt to go alone to Dana Farber.

We talked about it and we decided to go ahead with both of us going in today, we both couldn’t really cancel and we both knew the importance of making these serious appointments.

This morning went well for me, I was sad, but I also felt closure.  I can move on now and heal.  The doctor told me everything went routinely well and that after resting today and tomorrow, I’ll be good to get back into my craziness-non-stop-manic routine that I so crave and love. 🙂

As soon as I saw my mother after surgery, I immediately asked her, “Have you spoken to Matt yet?”

She said she hadn’t.

And then I got the text, “On way home, ALL CLEAR!”

I just burst into tears.

After the last 4 days we’ve had, this was the news I’ve been so anxious to get and to hear.

Thank you GOD!

It’s amazing how a day that you were dreading just this morning suddenly turns into the most blessed day in a long time!

Hug your loved ones tonight.

Cherish the moments

Embrace the love around you.

And just smile!

Life. Is. Good.

We’ve never met, but we are connected through social media. I just want to send my love and prayers to you. I hope to one day meet you as you seem to be a strong, amazing woman who has a beautiful heart and a beautiful family. I’m glad to hear that your husband has gotten a good report, and I send you hugs for your loss.
