Packing lunches that make kids stand in line…
I don’t “food travel” all that technologically advanced or all that attractively, for that matter. Note the $22.00 cooler on wheels and the hair product bag lined with a standard brown paper bag…
I will never catch the eye of Martha Stewart, that’s for sure.
But I do, I guess, “food travel” for kids…
Case in point… today, at a swim meet with 5 of my grandkids, I opened my thrifty little cooler to whip up a couple of requested Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches… the kind I make with one slice of bread folded over… and before I knew it there was a line of kids with requests for Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches (given out, of course, only with parental approval).
The Pepperidge Farm Whole Wheat Goldfish were… well, like gold.
The strawberries were like a harvest from heaven.
The little gummy candies were, in a word, sweet.
Ah, ha.
One little girl even asked me, “Are you the Peanut Butter & Jelly Lady?”
Now, that’s a title I really, really love.
And now, every time you go to a swim meet, kids will shout “hi, Peanut Butter and Jelly lady!” lol
You know just what kids like. How nice of you to pass them out to other kids.
