Wedding Countdown: 8 days ’til Jane & Brian’s Wedding…

“Something blue”…

NanaFlo loved the traditional Old English Wedding Rhyme about the 5 lucky objects a bride adds to her wedding attire or carries on her wedding day…

Something old, something new,
Something borrowed, something blue,
And a sixpence in her shoe.

NanaFlo will be attending Jane & Brian’s wedding as an angel, and she offered a bit of heavenly help to find the perfect token of something blue…  symbolizing faith, loyalty, constancy.

I knew I wanted something blue for Jane that had belonged to NanaFlo, so I went searching through her jewelry (I am the honored keeper of NanaFlo’s boxes-full of costume jewelry).  Piece by piece, strand by strand, I searched… opening little boxes, unraveling bracelets and necklaces and rings that got a little tangled in our recent move, remembering a little part of NanaFlo with each pin, earring, ring, bracelet or necklace…

… when lo and behold, I was guided to a little blue box.  I opened it to discover exactly the something blue that NanaFlo had in mind for her youngest granddaughter, Jane, on her Wedding Day…

Something blue.

Something angelic.

Something full with faith, loyalty, constancy… a Nana’s Love.

Something perfect to pin to Jane’s wedding dress as one of her tokens of the great love, the great blessings, the great faith that will surround Jane and Brian on their most special day – 8 Days away!
