Okay.

To be fair, I own more than one dress.

But due to my recent move, all of my stuff is still stored in wardrobe boxes and boxes and boxes and boxes in my new “old” garage while house floors are being stripped and walls are being repaired and painted.  This is taking W-A-Y longer than expected.

(All of our furniture is in that garage, too.   Barry and I are kind of camping out in our new home… with 1 bed, 1 television, 1 computer, 1 card table and 2 folding chairs.)

It’s been over 3 weeks now.

But anyway, I have been able to put my hands on ONE dress… a black Isaac Mizrahi dress from Target that I bought for Audrey’s baby shower for her first son, William, 8 years ago…

(There have been 3 more little guys since William… Alexander, Benjamin & Henry.  Isaac Mizrahi has left Target.  And I’m still wearing that Little Black Dress.)

Actually, I’m wearing it A LOT these days.

ONE DRESS translates into a bit of creativity, because I have lots of events coming up; creativity in the way of jewelry and shoes. 

Fortunately, I’ve been able to put my hands on a box of costume jewelry (lots of vintage), most from NanaFlo. Flo always came through in a pinch, and she still does…

And a pair of $50.00 Manolo Blahniks that I scored at an INStyle/Donna Karan Ovarian Cancer Research Fund event a few years ago…

And voila, 2 completely different looks…

I have 5 more events coming up soon, and I’m fairly sure that the rest of my stuff will still be stored in those wardrobes in my garage.

Let’s see what Flo and I can come up with.  (Oh, I will be hitting up Audrey, Jane and Rita, too.)
