Last year I was in awe. Just complete and utter awe of the brave mom bloggers who bared themselves in their swimsuits for Lands’ End “I have Swimsuit Confidence” campaign.
I wasn’t brave enough last year to do something like this — at all.
But… something within me changed this year.
Call it a wake-up call from what my husband had happened to him this past January. He was fearless when he was going through his medical problems this winter. More fearless than anyone I’ve ever seen. It was inspirational and a beautiful thing to see. After all of that happened with him, something within me changed. I became – for lack there of a better word — fearless, too.
So this year when Lands’ End approached me to do their “I Have Swimsuit Confidence” campaign, I said to myself… “Bring it on!” I’m not scared to do this. I’m not terrified to do this. I’ve had things in my life that were a lot scarier than taking a photo of myself in a bathing suit.
And so… I’m joining 100 women this year across the country in showing off our swimsuit confidence by posting a photo in a 2012 Lands’ End swimsuit.
Without further adieu… here I am in my Lands’ End Dot Print Bandeau bikini…
Thank you Lands’ End for doing this. You’re showing women that regardless of their shape, size and/or age… we’re all beautiful in our own skin.
