Happy Mother’s Day!

I am very blessed to have a job where I get to chat, connect and engage with moms all day long. It’s truly the best, best part of my job. I feel honored to be part of such an amazing digital mom community, and not a day goes by when I don’t thank my lucky stars!

Today is Mother’s Day. It’s the day to honor moms and truthfully (in my opinion), any special woman in your life who has taken on the role of a mom for you. It’s a day that, since I was a little girl… I loved. I remember waking up extra, extra early and running downstairs with my sister to make breakfast in bed for my mom. She would smile and absolutely play along with the bowl of Cheerio’s and cup of water we brought upstairs… that’s what moms do, right?

Now being a mom to my 4 sons… my William, my Alexander, my Benjamin and my Henry… I truly know the love a mother has for their child. It’s a love like nothing else in the world. You know, I’m often (VERY often) asked (once people find out the boys’ ages), “Did you mean to have them all so close in age?”

My short answer? YES.

I’ll never forget the nurse placing William on my chest on September 25th, 2004… it was as if life suddenly made sense. The feeling I felt for him… it was a feeling like, “So this is what I’m supposed to do with my life.” Ah-ha! All the questions were answered. All the mysteries of life solved. i was meant to be a mother. And so, after William… I yearned to have another and another and another. And quite honestly, I yearn to have more. Being a mother is the best thing on earth and I thank God every single day that I am one, and that he was blessed with us these boys. Motherhood isn’t always easy, but it’s miraculous… regardless of how you become a mom, motherhood is a beautiful thing.

My own mother instilled in me her love, her passion, her compassion and her belief in me that I could be anything I wanted to be in life… and that’s all I strive to give my sons. I want them to always know they’re loved. I want them always to know that someone has their back. And I want them to believe and know that they can be anything and do anything that want to do in this world…

… Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there today.

May you always feel the blessings of your children.

And may you (ahem…) be a little pampered today because you DESERVE it!
