Daily Diary: Sometimes it’s OK to “lose” yourself… in Bloomingdales

We came to NYC last May to pick up the Twizzlers mobile with the kids. It was one of those crazy NYC trips… we drove in, we went to an event at Dylan’s Candy Bar and then we took the Twizzler’s mobile right on home. I remember saying to my husband, “Do you think we’ll have time to pop into Bloomingdales?” (Pretty please with 500 cherries on top?)

Well, I was out voted by 4 little hands and 1 big one.

But today?

Well, today (a year later) is a different story.

I had the time. And I was alone.

So today… because I don’t get to do it often, I lost myself in Bloomingdales for an hour! I looked at all the trends and styles and just overall fabulous-ness of the clothes!

I think my favorite part is, regardless of the prices (they’re CRAZY), I know I can find so many of these clothes at T.J.Maxx and Marshalls.

And that mamas, I love.

Audrey, I can totally relate to this! Back as a single girl living in NYC I would shop at Barney’s NY, now as a mom it is all about TJ Maxx and Marshall’s ! I can’t believe what I used to spend! It is still such a pleasure to go and look though. Have you been to the Bloomingdale’s in Chestnut Hill, MA? so pretty.

I cannot lie – Bloomies is MY store. And they have tons of sales – I can often grab something for 50% off! Might not be TJ prices, but there are definitely moments when I can’t help myself… 🙂

I used to work in a Bloomies in NJ and looooove it! It is fun to get lost in the designers and labels and gorgeous clothes! Glad you got some “me” time in a fun place…did you hit the beauty department? By far, my fave!
