I know it’s not a secret that I’m a HUGE Hanes fan, but I’m going to say it again — I love, love, love me some Hanes! I’ve grown up with Hanes, and I’ve never stopped wearing them (especially now, too, sharing the Hanes love with my boys). From undies to tees to shorts to bras to socks… we’re covered (pun intended).

So… it makes me proud as a consumer and as a Hanes brand ambassador to share incredible news about this brand that I love…

The EPA has honored Hanes with the ‘Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award’ for its green efforts, naming it an Energy Star Partner of the Year for the third year in a row. As part of its commitment to sustainability, Hanes created a line of EcoSmart™ products, including Hanes hoodies, socks, sweats and T-shirts.

Hanes EcoSmart products are made with fabric produced in part from recycled plastic bottles or recycled cotton and save the equivalent of more than 57 million plastic bottles from going into landfills this year. Additionally, Hanes EcoSmart Socks contain either some recycled cotton fiber or alternative flax fibers, while the fabric in 67 percent of Hanes men’s and boys’ undershirts is made using renewable energy.

I’m so happy for Hanes that they have been recognized and honored, it’s SO deserved!
