Update on Matty

I wanted to make sure I updated everyone last night, and then after I shot this video and put the kids to bed and checked on Matt… I feel asleep before I was able to post it. My body just crashed… but I wanted to make sure I posted this morning:

Thank you all for your continued prayers and love… xoxo

Go Bless Audrey, Matt’s on my list every night when I pray.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Keeping good and positive thoughts for continued good news.

It seems a little odd to care so much about someone who is essentially a stranger… but this online community just brings such amazing bonds.

    Audrey,

I am glad to hear the good news about it being benign! Keep making the best choices you can with the information given. The tumor might be uncommon but what you are going through is not. You have a lot of support from people who have been there and people who are learning from you as you go through it with your family.

    Continued best wishes from Oklahoma.

Stay strong. I just sent Jane a message because I didn’t want to flood your inbox….when I heard “GIST” it brought back memories of my Dad. That is the name of the tumor my father had to have removed in 1998. He lived cancer free after that. Although he passed away in 2006, there was no evidence of GIST returning. I’m thinking of your guys! Keep the faith.

Audrey, thank you for the update! Changing my note to “Keep Praying for Matt.” You still have the love and support of the Bair family and I am so happy that there are many positives mixed in with everything that you are processing from the full report.

I am happy to hear he is recovering well. And the DX could be worse, like you said. BUT, I know it is still scary. He is young and healthy and has the support of his family. He will be fine, no matter what comes his way. Keep your chin up and know, that God does not give us more than we can handle! Well wishes and prayers from our family to yours. xoxo

So glad you got the best news possible. I hope that the visit to Dana Farber is productive and you all figure out how to best move forward and reduce chances of reoccurrence.

You are right in that knowledge is power. The more you know the better off you are to make informed decisions. So glad to hear some good news. Still keeping you all in our prayers.

Everyday we are continually praying for you all. Matt and your attitudes, Audrey, are truly awe inspiring. And to take the time to keep each one who loves Matt, you and the boys so informed, when you are so squeezed, bombarded with decisions and complex medical information, etc…Is nothing short of miraculous. We thank You and Matthew and of course your family for helping to educate us and be so very, very inspirational.
Knowledge is the door that allows us to make informed decisions which empower us. God Bless you all…you are GRACE in motion…
