Daily Diary: Standing his ground with a FORK

I would say, out of all of my sons, Benjamin is the one that requires the most attention. William and Alexander are my oldest, and they’re literally 12 months, 3 days a part. Benjamin came after Alexander 18 months later… but as soon as Ben turned 6 months, I found out I was pregnant with Henry.

I’ve often thought William and Benjamin were the ones that never got to be “babies” because there was always another one coming.

William, being the oldest… has always been the leader of the pack. His personality is one that just knows how to take care and help me out. But believe me, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love to push his brothers buttons. Lately he’s been pushing Ben’s buttons like CRAZY! I feel like every time I turn around, Ben’s crying over something William’s done.

Not fun. Especially considering the kind of month we’ve had. Literally last night I was about to pull my hair out!

So this morning… it didn’t surprise me when I heard Ben say, “Who put a baby fork at my breakfast?”

William just started laughing.

I was waiting for Ben to cry and “tell on William”… but he did something that made me smile, laugh and pat him on the back.

He grabbed the BIGGEST fork he could find in the drawer to use… you know, to rub it in and say, “Oh, yeah… watch this William!”

Not to mention, William better watch out because Ben’s on target to be taller than him… Just sayin’.

yes! What is it about brothers that makes them want to torment each other, even at the dinner table? Mine will fight over what cloth napkin they are given, what color cup, or even what design is on the fork or spoon. And yes, I’ve had mine find that great big fork as well! Boys!
