This year I’m gonna learn how to BAKE

New Year’s Resolution:  LEARN TO BAKE AWESOME COOKIES, CAKES & CUPCAKES, etc. FOR MY 9 GRANDKIDS!

Become known as, in other words, HEART-BAKE (not to be confused with HEART-BREAK of BAKING, as I am now!)…

My latest "Heart-Break" BAKE disaster narrowly averted...

I’m not gonna sugar-coat it here.  I’m admitting that I’ve never been all that and a bag o’ flour good at BAKING.

There.  I’ve said it.

But 2012 is gonna change all that.

First, I’m gonna find the BEST recipes for the BEST home-baked COOKIES, CAKES &  CUPCAKES, etc… from scratch, by the way.

Second, I’m gonna pastry brush-up on all the BEST BAKING TIPS (things I’ve completely forgotten or overlooked lately, such as: a. bringing ingredients to room temperature; and b. checking my oven temperature accuracy.  Duh.  Or better said, “Dough”).

Third, I’m gonna hit my oven with my BEST shot (o’ dough & batter) for the next 12 months, working on a project of deliciousness once-per-month.

Yep. I’m stepping up to the platter to hit some recipes out of the paradigm.

Stay pre-heated for my JANUARY Baking ProjectSNOWBALLS & SNOWMAN COOKIES.

(And I can use all the help I can get, so if you have any favorite recipes or tips – please let me know!)

LOL, this is so cute! Move over though, I need to learn to bake too. My kids say they’re tired of Cajun style baking….meaning burnt. :0)
