Today is one of those day’s – I’m just not having a good hair day. It’s just not doing what I want it to do… this always seems to happen on a day that I actually need it to look good! Perfect hair doesn’t do me any good at school pick-up, well… that is unless my sons happen to notice and say something (which isn’t too often), but it is necessary for a work day.
I’m in NYC speaking today at Jeff Pulver’s #BRANDSconf about parents as brands. I’m super excited to talk on the subject and love the people I’m speaking with… Adam from Dada Rocks and Jill from Glamamom.
But seriously… it’s my hair that’s killing me today.
Horrible, right?
But you know… moms, come on – it can be a big deal on those days you just hate what it’s doing. And today… mine is just matted to my head, not giving me any hair-life. Not to mention, I forgot to pack any and all of my hair products… I guess that’s what happens when you’re doing a mad dash out of the house so you don’t miss the train!
So there are 3 things I’m doing, which I hope work… because I only have 3 things with me – brush, clip and Donna Karan lotion.
1. I’m brushing my hair upside-down. So when I flip it back over, it’s got some bounce to it!
2. I’m also “setting” it. I’ve wrapped it in a bun and clipped it. I’m going to leave it as is until I’m ready to head out the door!
3. I’m using my Donna Karan Cashmere Mist lotion as hair gel. I figure, it’s got a little “weight” to it, so it will keep my fly-aways down and it also smells heavenly! I’m not using too much because I don’t it to look greasy.
OK… hair on the fly… wish me luck!
if it doesn’t work at least your hair will smell awesome 🙂
