Santa’s Hideout: The Perfect Place for every Family

Right about this time, I’ll start getting the calls from my parents, my in-laws, my brothers and sister and my sister-in-laws… “What do the boys want for Christmas?”

And the tough thing is, each one of my sons want something different… and beyond that, to be honest with you… it’s tough to keep track! Everyone wants to know what exact Star Wars guy “he” wants… and honestly, I don’t know! So much information is being tossed at me around this time from the boys, I’m lucky if I remember what I want for Christmas! 🙂

Well… Conde Nast must have been listening to the moms, and BIG TIME because they have created the ultra-cool and fabulous Santa’s Hideout.

So what’s Santa’s Hideout all about… ?

Santa’s Hideout is a modern twist on the timeless tradition of making lists for Santa that can be shared with family and friends. Santa’s Hideout takes the guess work out of holiday shopping by creating a SAFE, ONE-STOP, PARENT CONTROLLED, MAGICAL environment.

And for a digital mom like me… I love that it’s all done digitally.

I can literally help the boys pick out some goodies for their lists, and then share their special link on Santa’s Hideout with the people in their lives that want it… a.k.a. Grandparents and aunties and uncles! It takes so much of the work out of trying to communicate with everyone about what the boys want, and not only that… I know everyone will actually get to see what the boys actually want for Christmas. In my family, even when I say William wants a Mario Brothers Game… I’m asked 100 more times, “Does he really want that?” This way, it will ALL be done. No more guessing games for anyone!

And I just want to reiterate… everything you create and send along to your family and friends is password-protected, so you can rest assured that your list isn’t getting into the wrong hands.

What else do I love?

• A parent controls the access to Santa’s Hideout, and he/she can set limits on budget and can decide what item can/can’t be shown.

• Parents and “Santa” can then send messages of encouragement and support. They can be anything from asking recipients to set up a registry to reminding them to take out the trash to telling them if they do well on that spelling test they can add another item to their List or can create their own message.

• In the end, the Parent is the decision maker on all items children add, and can share a registry that exceeds “Santa’s” budget, but also delete items that seem excessive or inappropriate. Parents can also set up group lists for gifts that are shared across multiple children, like that XBox 360 grandma is buying for the entire family.

I’m just in awe and super excited to see it launched!! I (along with some other elves) have been working with Conde Nast for over a month now on getting this ready! I’m excited to share that I’m on their Mom Advisory Board!

So check out Santa’s Hideout… you will be thoroughly dazzled!
