Day 320 of 365 Days of Literacy for Kids:  Fun, Easy, Do-able Daily Activities for Kids

November is one of 4 months in the Gregorian Calendar that has 30 days…

Teach your kids and grandkids the little Month Rhyme that goes something like this…

Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November;
Once short February’s done,
All the rest have thirty-one.

The origin of this rhyme dates back to the 16th century and has emerged with many different variations.  Some are more specific to February’s unusual circumstance…

Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November;

All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting February alone,
And that has twenty-eight days clear
With twenty-nine in each Leap Year.

This Month Rhyme kind of brings you back to your own childhood, doesn’t it?  Do you still find yourself singing it once-in-awhile?

Go on, sing The Month Rhyme with your kids!

Join me here each day in November for KNOW-VEMBER: NOVEMBER FUN FACTS – on 365 DAYS OF LITERACY FOR KIDS! – fun, easy and completely do-able.
