On November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivered his Gettysburg Address, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, at the dedication of the Soldiers’ National Cemetery at Gettysburg…

Honoring the dead at Gettysburg, Abraham Lincoln delivered what would become one of the most famous speeches in American history. The speech is just 267 words, 9 sentences long and was delivered in less than 3 minutes… but Lincoln masterfully honored the sacrifice of the soldiers and reminded American citizens of the necessity to continue the Civil War.
