Last night I hosted a Twitter Party with TJMaxx and Marshalls… it was a TON of fun! I’m a lover of the Twitter Party anyway, but being part of one that is busy and full of constant conversation… that’s what really makes it fun!

From morning until the Twitter Party started yesterday, I kept getting tweets from people saying how excited they were about the #MarshallsTJMaxx Twitter Party. As I’ve disclosed on my blog before, I have worked with TJMaxx and Marshalls for 2 years now on various projects and I am just a lover of them! As a mom of 4 boys and a style-obsessed woman, I get ultra excited about snagging a great deal at TJMaxx or Marshalls. There’s nothing like finding that fabulous find for up to 60% off department and mall store prices.

So last night… I was excited to share some Holiday Shopping tips during the party!

Everyone’s list for the Holidays is so long. There’s parents and cousins and siblings and nieces and nephews and friends and teachers and coaches… the list could go on and on and on. I’ve actually had to put a limit to the amount of people we shop for because it does get out of hand. But at least I know I can find some fab gifts at TJMaxx and Marshalls!

I took a lot away from last night’s Twitter Party… one topic of discussion was “what to buy” for the people in our life. One that was top-of-mind for many of the attendees was: the perfect hostess gift. I’m a stickler for a fabulous centerpiece bowl, but I heard some great additional ideas last night:

Matching mugs with a beautiful tablecloth
Hand Towels in a bold color for the Holidays

Gorgeous Vase in a spectacular shape

Teachers came up a lot, too… which I get. I have 6 preschool teachers and then 4 elementary school teachers to shop for. For me personally, I love to create FABULOUS packages because these are the people helping to mold my children. I have been very lucky in getting fabulous teachers, too! I couldn’t ask for a better bunch! So… what is the best gift for a teacher (you want to stay away from anything with a size):

Scarves
Gloves/Hat
Clutch Bag
Beautiful Tote
Perfect Mug for class
Beautiful earrings or necklace
Gift Card to TJMaxx/Marshalls

And then… oh, yes. We needed to talk gifts for “mom.” 🙂 The discussion didn’t go too far because we were all obsessed with the same things.

HANDBAGS and SHOES!

Oh, mama mia!! Everyone across the board agreed that TJMaxx and Marshalls carry the BEST handbags ever! The fact that you can get a designer handbag for up to 60% off is CRAZY COOL!! Women were so excited to share their deals and snags! I’m actually going to buy my mom and sister a handbag for TJMaxx this year. They have so many black handbags, I want to find one for them with a punch of color!

The best part of my night was seeing how personal TJMaxx and Marshalls is to people. People say at “my” TJMaxx or at “my” Marshalls I found this. There’s a connection there… it’s “their” store. I love seeing that.

I had a BLAST last night with everyone and I just wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to come out and dish with us!
