Beauty Must Have: WET WIPES

Would you believe me if I told you that this innocent little box of wet wipes…

… saved my (favorite) pink tee this morning?

I’m always asked what I keep on me at all times and people always chuckle when I say wet wipes (especially since the boys don’t need them anymore). But truth be told, I’ve kept wet wipes on me since long before I even became a mother!

It goes back to 2001. I was at Ann Taylor at the Emerald Square mall in Massachusetts trying on a gorgeous little black dress. When I took it off I realized I had left deodorant stains all down the front of it. I was HORRIFIED! Doubly horrified since the salesgirl stood outside the dressing room waiting to hear what I thought of it. I literally had to come clean… I couldn’t leave a dress like that in the store without fessing up. I explained what happened and told her I would buy the dress because I was so embarrassed. She smiled at me and said, “Don’t worry about it! We have wet wipes here.”

Wet wipes?

It didn’t compute.

She then proceeded to show me how a simple wet wipe magically erased every single deodorant stain in seconds! She said that her manager taught her that trick and that they literally get everything out (except blue pen).

So… from that day on, I had wet wipes on me.

And getting back to today, I had on one of my favorite pink tees. I was driving to Providence to get my hair done and trying to put lipstick on at a red light! Well… guess who happened to drop the mauve lipstick on my shirt. Yup… oh, yes. I was so upset! BUT!! I had my wet wipes in the car… and was able to get the stain right up. THANK GOODNESS! You know how coffee can stain a light shirt. By the time I left the hair salon by tee was dry as can be and stain FREE!

Just a little BEAUTY/FASHION MUST HAVE.

Not sure how many people know about this little trick!
