Ragu’s Latest video: How do you do leftovers?

I’m so excited to be one of the Ragu Momversation Mom’s in the Mom’s the Word on Dinner campaign that Ragu is doing… I have enjoyed the honest conversation among other moms, and have really appreciated the candor and the rawness… because, let’s face it – it’s not always easy to feed the family (especially when you have very picky eaters).

Ragu’s latest video is: How do you do leftovers?

I’m going to be very honest and real and raw here… I do not do leftovers. I don’t. As a child I hated, hated, hated anything that was re-heated – pizza, pasta, chicken, meat, you name it… it just grossed me out! My husband grew up the complete opposite… he ate leftovers all the time and was 100% fine with it. So when it comes to feeding the boys, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that William and Alex hate leftovers and Ben and Henry love them. We’re completely divided.

Leftovers are easy. When I know I can pop pizza from the night before into the micro for Ben and Henry, it’s simple, it’s quick and it’s done! With William and Alex… I need to prep and cook. Not always so easy. It actually makes me feel really bad for my own mother for when I was a child!

What’s your take? Do you use leftovers? What do you do with them?

I’m horrible in the sense that I just don’t like to re-heat food.
