It’s funny how some styles just come cruising along back in…
My mother worked as a teacher for 30 years, she loved it. Not a day went by when my mother wasn’t dressed beautifully for work. She would wear suits and skirts and dresses and trousers and beautiful blouses. I always loved sitting my my mother’s closet as a little girl and looking at her clothing. She had so many different colors and different fabrics in there. To me, it was a peaceful place. (I should have known back then my life would revolve someway around fashion.)
I was at the mall this past weekend with my sons looking for a birthday gift for a friend while at J.Jill (her fave store) and saw Shaker-Stitch Pullovers. Like a wave, the memory of my mom wearing Shaker-Stitch sweaters came rushing back. She had a maroon one, a turquoise one, a white one and a pink one. I remember them like it was yesterday.
I hadn’t seen them is so long… here’s one from J.Jill…
… and now they’re all over the place.
I LOVE them! It’s a mix of old-school, classic wear… with a 2011 trendy twist!
You can easily mix a Shaker-Stitch Pullover into your fashion routine by wearing it with…
… a blouse, oversized tank, oversized tee, chunky jewelry or an oversized scarf. It’s such a fabulous pullover for any occasion – dress it up or dress it down!
