My granddoggie Tansy doing Yoga with Rodney Yee. It's true.

This morning, I wrote a post about the joys a dog can bring to an otherwise difficult day.

Then I went about my day… mostly centered around my Mom as she recovers from complicated surgery.

Happy to say, my Mom is doing beautifully. She is able to sit up, albeit with pain. She ate almost her entire lunch of delectable hospital blandness… with me encouraging her the entire way.

Oh, Mom. Nice creamed soup. You don’t like creamed soup? Can you try a little? Nice cup of tea. There’s no cream? Try a little sugar. The tea’s not hot? Well, Some Like It Cool (except Marilyn Monroe)! Too full for the Jello? Why not save it ’til later?

(I actually did say Marilyn Monroe thing, too, which made my Mom laugh.)

As I’ve written many times, my Mom is a pioneer of exercise, and she was looking forward to getting up and walking. The nurses assured me that they would help walk her around her room any time she wants. I could feel my Mom’s sense of relief that she wouldn’t be confined to her hospital bed.

I left the hospital feeling so positive about my Mom’s recovery.

When I got home, I noticed that my house needed a little pick-me-up from me being too otherwise busy yesterday to care.

I picked up this from an end table, the Rodney Yee dvd that Jane had used yesterday…

… and I literally laughed out loud!

My granddoggie Tansy knew all along what she was doing yesterday as Jane followed along with Rodney Yee on the Yoga dvd. Tansy wasn’t locked in an UPWARD DOG position just to entertain Jane and me (which she certainly did, by the way)…
