Festive Halloween Looks for Kids

Festive Halloween Looks for Kids

Is the little lady in your life looking to be Dorothy or a Princess for Halloween?

They’ll need the perfect hair!

Beauty Expert Emily Kate Warren offers tips for creating two classic Halloween looks for kids…

Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz:

Divide hair in half vertically from top of head to nape of neck. Comb through an anti-frizz product like Aussie Smooth Anti-Frizz Cream (to keep braids in place and frizz-free). Create two low ponytails and braid them to the tips, tying the ends with bows if you like. Dot red lipstick over the lips and complete the look with a bow headband, keeping the part showing.

Princess:

Start with a loose high ponytail at the top of the head. Secure, and then position the loose bun at the top middle of the head. Finish the look with a spray of a firm-hold hair spray – try Pantene Fine Professional Level Hairspray to keep the hair smooth and the bun in place. Position a crown in front of the bun or a ribbon/headband around the head (a la Cinderella). If your child has bangs, split them in the middle and pin back. Add a touch of pink shimmer to the cheeks and white shimmer to the eyes – COVERGIRL Intense ShadowBlast is perfect as a multi-use product for eyes and cheeks. Finish with a touch of lip gloss and glitter.

Happy Halloween!
