This is Alexander…

… he’s my 5 year old son.

This morning I was watching the 9/11 news and just sitting there awe-struck again. Tears streaming down my cheeks. My eyes big and wide. And just raw.

I had the boys in the basement so they wouldn’t see or hear the news coverage…

But then Alexander came up to ask me for a glass of milk. As I went into the kitchen to pour it and get it ready for him, I saw he was sitting on the couch looking at the TV. I told him to go into the kitchen to drink his milk.

He just looked at me and then at the TV again, and then said, “Did that really happen?”

Yup, that really happened buddy.

He will never know a life before 9/11. Crazy.
