How to handle a woman

When I first met Brian he would do so many sweet things for me. I loved how giving, genuine and loving he was, but I figured he would change after the “newness” of our relationship was over.

I was reminded of this the other day, when my Mom showed me a note she’d found in one of her drawers… one that Brian had written to her on her birthday in 2009, a few months after we had met:

It made my heart smile.

And two years later, I happily admit that I was wrong in thinking that Brian would become less romantic over time.

He is just as sweet and sentimental as he was when we first started dating.

Somehow, he instinctively knows to follow the advice in the song “How To Handle a Woman” from the musical Camelot:

The way to handle a woman
Is to love her…simply love her…
Merely love her…love her…love her.

And for that, I am so thankful.

From all that you’ve ever written about Brian, I have a feeling you will never be disappointed in the romance department with him! That note is precious and i’m sure that years down the road, you will come upon many more like it – Hugs!
