OK… so it was a LONG day yesterday without power. It was on when I woke up yesterday morning, but around 7:30AM it flickered off, then back on… then back off – for good. I kept hoping it would go back on throughout the day, especially as the nighttime rolled in. Well, it didn’t. So what do you do with 4 boys, 6 flashlights and iTunes on the laptop?
You DANCE.
This kept the boys busy for an hour! And not to mention, completely made them forget about the lights being out… which was good for me and Matt.
And it got them all tired for bed… 🙂
(It was a long day… putting it lightly. And our power is still not back up yet!)
looks like a lot of fun:)
dance!
That is fabulous! Our game of flashlight tag didn’t last long.
So Awesome!! Dancing always changes the mood of things.
I feel for you! I remember a fantastic time I spent with my two boys during a horrendous snow and ice storm a few years ago. The boys were 4 & 5 years old then (they are only 10 1/2 mos apart) and we had no electricity/heat for 3 days. To top it off my husband was away traveling. We spent alot of time having creative play and bundling up to go outside for even just a few minutes to work off energy. 🙂 Prayers are with all of you!
I remember how it is to have no power during a hurricane or a storm… Ah, the days where we wouldn’t have power for days! Days of board game after board game until we got so tired of it all… This looks like a ton of fun!
