Fashion Alert: Must Have for Plane Travel

Yesterday I flew home from San Diego.

I left San Diego at 11:25AM and arrived home at 11:00PM. It was a long day.

Fortunately I didn’t have to worry so much about passing the time on my first long flight (from San Diego to Baltimore). I was lucky enough to hook up with Amy from Resourceful Mommy and Jill from Scary Mommy on the flight and we literally (literally) talked our way across the country. Not ONCE was there a lull in the conversation.

And on my flight from Baltimore to Providence… I had Danielle Steel to thank for the hour and 21 minute time suck.

But I have to say, I was FREEZING on the plane.

I don’t fly too often, my trips usually entail me heading to NYC, which is easy for me to get to. Flying is something I try to avoid (I’m not a lover of the air), so therefore, I’m not too air-travel-savvy when it comes to checking in and packing light through security. But I do “dress well” in the air. I dress in layers… always.

I wanted to blog about a MUST HAVE for air travel because the poor woman next to me on the way from Baltimore to Providence actually was shivering, so the flight attendant got her a blanket. She looked at my outfit and said, “You were smart…”

These are usually my pieces for travel… (even during the hot summer months!)

It’s all about being able to layer it on up!
