BlogHer with CVS

I’m addicted to CVS.

And it’s not just because I love 2.3 miles from one. Or the fact that I live in the same state where the headquarters are located. I genuinely just love CVS.

When I was growing up, I lived in Barrington, RI. There was (and actually still is) a CVS store located in the Barrington Center. I remember finally being old enough for my mom to allow me to ride my bike with my sister and my friend Jessica, all the way to the Center. She’d give us each $10, and we were allowed to go on a shopping spree. LOL… no joke, that was BIG time back then! You know, a time before cell phones (gasp)! But I just remember feeling like such a big girl heading into CVS (my fave store) and spending my money.  I still even remember the girls who worked there, they were older girls and they knew your name when you walked in.  I love that.

Usually I would go directly to the school supply aisle and buy pencils and pens and a notebook, even back then I loved to write!

But then… as I got a little older (7th grade to be exact), I ventured into the beauty aisle.  Ahh… I had found home.  It’s funny, I still can see the layout of the store in my head. The CVS employee office was right above the beauty area, and there were mirrors all around it, and I (literally) used to use the mirrors to see what I looked like after I tried some of the beauty items! And it was on one of these trips to CVS in 7th grade when I bought my very first lipstick.

I still remember what it was… Revlon’s Pink Foil, and it was about $7.

And I even remember wearing it to a 7th grade sports dance to impress a boy named Todd Melton.

It’s funny how memories like this just get imprinted in your mind.

That was my very first exposure to the beauty (and beautiful items) at CVS…it became my mecca for all things beauty throughout high school.  I bought my first mascara there, too.

Well, fast forward a little over 15 years. I’ve now got 5 guys in my life… Matthew, William, Alex, Ben and Henry. And I still LOVE heading to CVS with $10 in my pocket to burn (this time it’s my own money!). And I still especially love heading into the beauty department to play around, try new products and grab some essentials. I don’t wear Pink Foil lipstick anymore… but, I do still love trying to impress my husband with a new lip color!

It’s been a true full circle moment in my life now getting to know CVS (as a company) better and better through my life as a blogger. CVS has been one of those company’s that has done a great job at reaching out to bloggers and finding a way to partner together in a way that works. They have even created a Beauty Club. You’ll love love love to get some CVS Beauty Club benefits!  I’ve just truly love seeing them connect on a deeper level with (specifically) beauty and mom bloggers. For moms especially, CVS is such a perfect and easy place to stock up on all of our beauty essentials… it’s a fabulous fit!

So… (drum roll please!!) it’s BEYOND exciting for me to announce that CVS is sponsoring my trip to BlogHer sponsor this year! I couldn’t be more excited and thankful!! They have been a part of my life for so long, and it just really makes me feel so proud that they’re sponsoring my trip to such an important conference!
