The women’s line from Carhartt impresses!

I’ll be honest, I had never heard of Carhartt until I met Brian almost 2 years ago. I’m sure I had seen Carhartt apparel (the company has been around since 1889), but I had never attached a brand name to it, and I certainly never knew that it was the rugged workwear brand.

Brian does landscaping and construction, so he needs strong, sturdy workwear and Carhartt fits the bill.

He literally does not wear anything else to work. He has to have over 10 pairs of Carhartt pants, bib overalls or shorts, but the thing is: he rarely has to buy a new pair.

As much as he beats up his clothes with the work he does, his Carhartt apparel is amazingly durable.

(By the way, these photos of Brian were not taken for this post… I was going through iPhoto and it’s actually hard to find Brian not wearing Carhartt apparel.)

So when I heard that Carhartt has come out with a women’s line, I knew the clothing would be really well-made… but I had no idea how cute and stylish it would be!

I was incredibly impressed with the clothes I got to check out. I think the Curvy-Fit Denim Cropped Pant is my absolute favorite pair of jeans. The fit is so perfect and I love the look of the cuffed hems at the bottom.

I’m a big fan of hoodies and waffle knit, so I can see the Three-Quarter Sleeve Waffle Hooded Zip being a staple in my wardrobe. It is so comfy and cozy – perfect for chilly summer nights.

And the Three-Quarter Raglan Sleeve T-Shirt is super soft and lightweight. Alone or underneath my hoodie, it is cool and comfortable.

I really love the fit of the Drawstring Cargo Short. I’m not really into wearing super short-shorts, but I still want a fashionable pair of shorts for the summer, and these are just right. They are a great length and very comfortable and versatile.

Along with Brian, now I am definitely a huge, huge fan of Carhartt, too. Brian might actually be borderline obsessed, though. See what I mean in this video (be sure to watch all the way through!):

I had never hear of Carhartt until I got married. His family has worn Carhartt for a long time. We still have a jacket I got my son when he was little. It’s been through four kids now and is a little faded…but it’s almost 20 years old. Definitely built to last. All of our barn coats are Carhartt.:)
