Washington D.C. with Twizzlers – Day 2

When I say we were up at 7AM and not back to the hotel till 9:30PM… I’m not kidding.

We had a full day and it was awesome! We didn’t know what to expect considering we didn’t bring a stroller for Henry and we knew we’d be walking all day, but the boys were (crazy enough) cool with it. We visited a ton of stuff yesterday, starting off with the most important for us – visiting Uncle Dimi (Matt’s best friend from college who was killed in Fallejah in Nov of 2004)…

After Arlington we headed to the Smithsonian, walked the National Mall, visited the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Albert Einstein statue. And then… this was the best part and the way memories are made… we realized that it was 6:30PM and the hop-on/hop-off shuttle ended at 4:30PM. So guess who had to walk from the Lincoln Memorial back to Arlington? Oh, yes… a 45 minute walk. And guess what, we laughed (me and Matt) the whole way.

Disclosure: This is a Twizzlers sponsored trip.
