Wedding planning has begun! Kind of!
I mean, we don’t have a date yet (though we’ve narrowed it down to the summer of 2012 – basically June-September) or a venue (though we’ve talked about making appointments to see certain places)…
…but I asked Audrey to be my Matron of Honor (we are only having one attendant each) and I called the church, so there are a few steps in the right direction!
My first marriage was not a Catholic ceremony, but hopefully Brian and I will be able to get married in one. This is one of those things that is very important to Brian, so it is important to me.
(Down the line, when having lavender napkins – NOT purple! – is important to me, I hope he remembers this. I kid.)
We go to church most every Sunday together, so I called yesterday to figure out what they’ll need from us and what dates are available. In addition to our baptism, First Communion, etc. documents, I need to get my marriage license and divorce decree over to the church. We can’t set a date until it’s determined by the church that we can have a Catholic ceremony.
Until then, we will still go look at venues and come up with things we want the wedding to include… so I will be stocking up on wedding magazines this weekend!! So fun!

If you are getting married in the New York/New Jersey area I say Contemporary Bride magazine. I also love Bridal Guide, New Jersey Bride, and The Knot. Thos are my absolute favs!
