Puristics Gentle Calming Lotion

I have a new love in my life right now as a mom… Puristics Gentle Calming Lotion.

I have been using this on Benjamin and Henry every night after bath time and I just LOVE it!

Even though Benjamin’s 4 years old and Henry’s almost 3 years old, they’re still my babies. Actually, I call all my sons’ my babies still, but my Benjamin and Henry… as the 2 youngest, have truly been deemed the “babies” by all of us. Benjamin even calls himself “Baby-Angel.” (Yes, I’m creating a monster.)

When they were actual babies, I needed to use cream on them after bath time (and pool time) because they had such sensitive skin. Their skin was so sensitive that it was difficult to find creams and lotions for them that worked without irritating, especially for the two of them. My search… even after 4 years has continued… but I was “introduced” to Puristics Gentle Calming Lotion a couple of months ago for the boys and I fell in love with it!

As all moms know, when you find something that really works, you not only stick with it – you LOVE it.

There are certain things I looked for in a cream for the boys with their sensitive skin…

1. I wanted to make sure I found something that was as natural as can be for their sensitive skin.
2. I wanted to find something that would moisturize and truly leave their skin SUPER SOFT.
3. I wanted to find a cream that I could use on all of my boys (even the ones without sensitive skin).

Puristics Gentle Calming Lotion covered everything for me (and more).

First off, if keeps their skin soft with a combination of naturally derived coconut, palm and olive-based skin conditioners. For their dry skin, that’s exactly what they need.  An additional bonus for me (especially for after bath time), there’s eucalyptus and rosewood-based essential oil blend designed to help soothe them.

But what I LOVED the most about Puristics Gentle Calming Lotion was that 99% of the ingredients are natural.  There’s no parabens, phthalates or sulfates.  This makes me feel so good when I lather this on their skin.  I don’t feel like anything is going on that shouldn’t be going on… and I love that.

Just take a look at this ingredient list…

Purified Water – Specially filtered to remove impurities
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride – An emollient mixture naturally derived from coconut and palm; a skin conditioner
Squalane – Naturally-occurring, olive-derived compound; helps restore suppleness and lost essential oils to the skin’s surface
Glycerin – Naturally-derived, plant-based emollient with moisturizing and lubricating properties
Sucrose Distearate – Naturally-derived, sugar-based emulsifier; enhances skin’s moisture
Palm Butter – Naturally-occurring butter that enhances skin’s moisture
Glyceryl Stearate SENaturally- derived, plant-based emulsifier and preservative; enhances skin’s moisture
Sunflower Seed Wax

I love that it’s naturally preserved.

Before I had children, I never looked into what I was putting on my own skin.  As soon as William was born, it was like an awakening.  I wanted to know what I was bathing them in, what lotions and creams were going on them and what was going in their bodies.  As a mom, you are your child’s advocate.  And it’s refreshing and wonderful to see products made that are naturally good for your children.
