APRIL SHOWERS bring WORD POWERS: Days of Literacy for Kids!

There are days when the fritinancy of insects awakens me to the realization that I am yawpish for jentaculum.

WHAT?

There are days when the twittering of insects awakens me to the realization that I am hungry for breakfast.

THAT’S WHAT!

April Showers bring work powers

Today’s WORD: yawpish, meaning hungry.  The word yawpish may have been more common during the 18th century, but I say let’s bring yawpish back.  Bring yawpish to each meal of the day… and to snacks, too.

Give your kids another way to say, “I’m hungry!”

Yes.  “I’m yawpish!” Go on.  Have a little fun with words.

Join us here each day on 365 Days of Literacy for Kids for fun, easy and do-able literacy conversation-starters!
