It’s always intriguing to me how each moment of our lives has the potential to change everything.

Places we go, things we do, people we meet… moments strung together like little knots on a golden thread.

I remember with perfect recollection the moment my daughter Jane told me about a woman named Sarah.  Jane and I were driving from the airport in Reno to our destination in Lake Tahoe (we were there to attend the wedding of a dear friend).  I was at the wheel and we were marveling at the mountains and the magnificence they offered.  Jane was telling me about a potential business venture… and about Sarah, a woman she had “met” on-line and then by phone.

I will always associate Sarah with those magnificent Nevada mountains!

Sarah and Jane would partner up in a business venture.  I would meet Sarah.  Sarah would, years later, ask Jane, Audrey and me (the MomGenerations.com ladies) to join her in an informal Skype conversation on a Sunday morning to discuss Mom Blogging with some clients of hers.

We would.  One thing I remember about that Sunday morning Skype conversation is that Jane, Audrey and I all had sweat pants and sweat shirts on… no make-up what-so-ever… and Audrey’s 4 boys were particularly antsy that morning, flitting in and out of Audrey’s dining room like little dragonflies!

But what I remember most about that Sunday morning was listening in this high-tech way to these women hundreds of miles away… talk with great knowledge and passion about Puristics.

Puristics Anti-Aging, Feminine Care and Baby Products hadn’t, at that time, been released to the general public yet.  This “meeting” was purely informal and informational on our part.

But what I began to see and feel and want during that “meeting” were the Puristics products to really see and feel and use.  I am not the type to ask for things… and neither are Audrey and Jane… so we finished our discussion, clicked off Skype and looked at each other in that WOW! kind of discovery.

Can we say YE-AH! We did.

My skin immediately felt silkier and cleaner… and I felt a sense of purity that was inwardly beautiful, too.  I wrote about it here.

The PURE sense of Puristics and its informative website has taken me to be so very careful about everything in my life… foods, fabrics, detergents, home cleansers, soaps and anything and everything that touches my husband, my kids and my 9 grandchildren.

But there was one thing that I had neglected.  It was a visit to a dermatologist. I have spent years in the sun and I own the genetics to need to be vigilant about skincare… so this was a must.  I had been putting this off for years, even with the not-so-casual insistence of my own Mom.  I must say that the PURITY with which my life has changed in both little and big ways with Puristics is what drove me to make that appointment.

My appointment was this past Monday.  It was one of those total-body-naked-to-nothing-search-in-every-crevice-while-discussing-the-weather-and-other-cool-stuff appointments.  Good times.

What came of it was that the dermatologist immediately-on-the-spot came at me with that blow-torch thing, freeze-blasting liquid nitrogen on 7 (count ’em… 7) precancerous legions.  3 on my face.  4 on my upper chest.

I was told, of course, that these legions would blister a bit and look kinda gross… but hopefully I had no-where special to be for the next couple of weeks.

But YE-AH! I do have somewhere special to be.  I have each and every moment of my life to be.  To embrace.  To celebrate.  To live.  To love.

A little blistering and scabbing and a bit of gross is a piddling price to pay for all my moments to come.

It’s very intriguing to me that a moment in Nevada years ago talking to Jane about Sarah would lead me to a Puristics Lifestyle Reality that may have very well saved my life.

Isn’t life amazing!

And Sarah still means magnificent mountains to me…
