Week 8…

We’re in the midst of the Book Drive at the preschool we have selected to create the Reading Garden at and also create a Reading Garden Library at… and it’s been BUSY!!

I sent out flyers to over 100 kids in the preschool…

… and I’m in the collection process right now. My goal is to get 100 books. I’m hoping, hoping, hoping this can be a reality! As of right now, we have a little over 50 books donated. The cool thing is that 1/3 of them are brand new books!

It’s so exciting to see the books waiting for me at the school, and I have had such a great response from the community… as I reached out to some local mom groups and some of my friends in looking to get some books for the Reading Garden.

It’s been even more wonderful seeing my sons find books to donate… I told them they needed to find some special books that they would love read to them at school during the school year. William found his 2 books very quickly… Alex and Ben took their time picking out 2 books… and I helped Henry find some of his own. I even have my mom, sister and brothers donating! It really is amazing to see people come together during this Challenge… it’s beautiful.
