StyleWeek Providence Go Red Event

Last night I had the honor and the pleasure to be one of the judges at the StyleWeek Providence Go Red Event. It was a night to be remembered forever.

StyleWeek Providence partnered with the American Heart Association during StyleWeek to raise awareness and money for the fight against heart disease in women. Each designer created a one-of-a-kind RED look made with Swarovski Elements and inspired by their model, all heart survivors.

I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. As each model graced the runway with her designer, their story played aloud to everyone. Each story was different. Each story was emotional. Each story was a reminder as to how precious life is… because here they all were – heart survivors.

My job was to rate each dress by fit, flatter, function, design and overall using the # system – 1 to 5. It was NOT EASY! Once I started hearing the stories of the survivors… I was done, I wanted to give everyone the same high score!

I was blown away by the creations. Truly blown away… There were 12 in all, here are some of them…

As you can see… there were STUNNING!

This was such a wonderful example of fashion DOING GOOD! The dresses were extensions of each woman… it was a beautiful evening!

Here’s one of my favorite moments…
