My blog is usually required reading for Brian (it’s entirely possible that he hears, “Did you read my post yet?” “What did you think of my blog today?” in his nightmares), but I will give him a pass on this one because it’s really directed toward the ladies.

We at Mom Generations are spokespeople for Puristics, and we are very excited about it because it means sharing a new, wonderful, safe, effective and pure line of products with our readers.

My mom and Audrey have written about Puristics’ anti-aging and baby care products, respectively, so today I’m going to talk about the feminine protection products (see why Brian gets a pass?).

I’ll admit, before we began working with Puristics, when thinking about what I looked for in feminine protection products, I really only cared about three things:

1) comfort

2) absorbency

3) stay-in-place-ability (in terms of pads/pantiliners).

I never really took the time to think about the materials that go into making feminine products.

But it has occurred to me that I should.

We’re often reminded to check the ingredients in food, drinks, household products – and even the containers/packaging these things come in.

But when is the last time someone reminded you to check the materials in the feminine products you use?

As Puristics says: Take a good look at the ingredients listed on many of the personal care products currently available. If it’s on the label, it’s in the product, and it could be seeping into your skin.

Prior to officially becoming spokespeople for Puristics, we were able to test and use the products, of course.

Knowing that the tampons, ultra thin pads, and pantiliners are made with 100% pure cotton, without any chemicals, synthetics or unnecessary “super absorbent” powders, gave me a good feeling right off the bat.

And the fact that they held up to my comfort, absorbency and stay-in-place-ability standards was definitely huge because these things are especially important when I’m running or biking.

So, I feel that if Puristics can give me what I’ve always looked for in feminine protection products and they are made of pure ingredients, without any artificial fragrances, colors, dyes or synthetics, why would I want to use anything else? And why wouldn’t I want to share this with our readers!?
