Frigidaire Kids’ Cooking Academy to Raise Funds for Save the Children

I love love love how Frigidaire does such amazing work to help raise awareness, support and funds for Save the Children. I had the opportunity last year and then this past October to meet the head of Save the Children, Mark Shriver, and really get to chat with him about the importance and impact that Save the Children is doing in the world… seeing the passion of Mark Shriver, Frigidaire and Jennifer Garner, has really made an impact on me and my family to do everything we can to help out.

And it never ceases to amaze me as to the wonderful things Frigidaire comes up with to help spread the message of Save the Children!

Jennifer Garner teamed up with Frigidaire, Chef Mary Sue Milliken and more than 15 kids in LA to kick off the Kids’ Cooking Academy last Tuesday – January 17th.

The Kids’ Cooking Academy is a mom’s dream!  There are a series of web lessons hosted by Chef Milliken, which are available online so that you and your family can learn to cook together in the kitchen.  The lessons are designed to get your kids involved in preparing – and enjoying – nutritious foods at home.  As a mom of 4 little boys… 2 of which keep telling me they want to be “chefs” someday, this is PERFECT for them!

The web lessons are available online at Frigidaire.com, where you and other parents can enroll in the Kids’ Cooking Academy to access daily tips along with the videos and great recipes.

This is the best part…

When you do, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children to help make sure that more children have access to healthy foods.  Plus, to help spread the word, everyone who participates will be entered for a chance to win the daily prize, a kids’ apron set and the grand prize: a new Double Oven Range from Frigidaire.

How amazing is that?
