I Love Winter Hats

I love winter. I may love winter so much because I LOVE winter hats. Winter hats are so… well, cozy. Winter hats bring us back to other eras. Other generations. And to other parts of the world.

I love my small collection of what we call Russian hats. Or, since Christmas Vacation, “cousin Eddie” hats. A few years ago, I bought my then 3-year old granddaughters Taylor and Maddie hats to match my favorite beige suede “cousin Eddie” hat. I came across a photograph of us today… and I couldn’t help but smile.

I think I need to get out and buy a couple of matching winter hats for my now 9-year old granddaughters and me! Any hat suggestions? I’ll get on that right away…

That’s a wonderful photograph! I like hats too but, they never seem to flatter me much. The only hat I’ve ever really been able to wear is a “cowgirl” hat or, a ski hat in the winter. I really like those big floppy hats you might wear with a sun dress and, gardening hats are really cute too. Those “Russian” hats are great!

Winter hats are one of the few things I like about winter! I think you should go for either the plaid look this year or stocking hats with big poms on the top. ;p
