I hate to say it, but I’ve been seeing them a lot lately… and actually, not so much on people, but in the stores. You know what I’m talking about, “ugly” Holiday sweaters with bells, lights, ornaments, snowflakes and anything else Holiday-ish that can fit on a sweater. Everyone has their own “ugly” defining factor when it comes to Holiday sweaters, so I’m almost “afraid” to call out any particular sweaters…
But… last night, one of my girlfriend’s hosted her ANNUAL XMAS PARTY…WITH A TWIST! The twist was to come in your “ugliest’ Holiday sweater. I’m not kidding when I say that we searched high and low everywhere for a REALLY good “ugly” sweater, even going as far as almost bidding on a few sweaters on eBay! My husband saved the day by making them… which I thought would be REALLY good fashion advice today if anyone has an “ugly Holiday sweater party”coming up.
What you need:
1. Plain sweater/sweatshirt.
2. Decor (bells, small trees, ornaments, lights, tinsel, etc.)
3. Sewing needle and thread. (Or glue)
What you do:
1. Create your “masterpiece” on the sweater/sweatshirt. My husband decided to get fake small trees, which he placed exactly where he wanted them to be.
2. Then start sewing/gluing to your sweatshirt.
3. DECOR AWAY!!!!!
Once you’re happy with your “work,” don your sweater!
Ours were matching… you know, it’s just “uglier!”
Love the sweaters!!
How did he make them light up?
You both looked incredibly… well, appropriately holiday-ish. I can’t go so far as to say Matt’s masterpieces were “ugly.” !! They were perfect!! xox!
Wow! Very original 😉 Yes, I’d like to know how he made them light up too! I bet it was a fun, interesting party!
so funny……….. how long is your cord?
Those are some ugly sweaters Matt. Nice job buddy!
Wow! He did a great/terrible job…lol
