“Mommy, your legs are hairy.”

I’m going to say it. I hate to shave. It’s one of those things in life that I just don’t look forward to doing AT ALL. Even throughout the summer… when I know I have to shave my legs… I try as long as possible to go without shaving. I’m usually able to go 2-3 days (which, if you’re a woman… isn’t too long). Seriously, as soon as I packed the summer swim bag away… I felt relief. No shaving every other day. Hello, FALL!

Well… needless to say, Henry doesn’t seem too happy with this development.

Yesterday (in Rhode Island) was CRAZY hot. It kind of came out of nowhere. I dug out some athletic shorts and tossed them on knowing I wouldn’t be leaving the house in them, just hanging out working. Henry walked by me in the kitchen while I was working and stopped dead in his tracks. He literally turned back around and came over to my legs. He looked at my legs close-up and then looked up at me.

“Mommy, your legs are hairy.”

I wish I could say he said it half-laughing or even half-joking, but he more or less said it with a horrified tone.

Now in defense of myself… they didn’t look like this…

… but they certainly need a shave, which is exactly what I did last night. I guess I needed my 2 year old son to knock me into shape this week. Thanks, buddy!

Ahh… the innocence of a child.

    ROFL!!

I have two teenage girls who, I think, shave their legs every day. I tell them to relax and don’t worry about it, but boy oh boy.. they do NOT like any kind of stuble..

It grosses them out when I let mine go a little.. but that just spurs me on to tease them about it..

Enjoy the bare leg feeling once again 🙂

Hope to see you again soon at Disney Social Media Moms! 🙂

I still remember the first time Dawg’s ex-wife met me and found out I used to live in Vermont. She leaned in close to me and asked, “do you shave?!”

Admittedly, going weeks on end without shaving is very much acceptable in Vermont. 🙂 But yes, I do shave. 🙂

The innocence of a child is right – so refreshing except when they decide to blurt out things like this in the grocery store line, like my nephew did to my sister one day. It was pretty entertaining to the other people in line but she was mortified. So, be thankful Henry kept his sweet, innocent comment at home – this time 🙂

I would love to win the kristen espadrille wedges in natural so I can wear them to work and then out at night!
