I was introduced to Hug Me Up several weeks ago, before the site officially launched, and I was immediately struck by the beautiful simplicity of its name. And shortly after, when I saw what the products looked like online and got know Kim, Hug Me Up founder, I really felt Kim’s passion and vision.

So it came as no surprise that when I actually got the chance to see Hug Me Up’s products and test them out with my family, I truly loved everything.

Hug Me Up is a line of clothing with a goal. This goal, Kim says, is “to provide a product that uses simple words to say something big, to lift people up, make them smile and to spread the hug.”

The expression “Hug Me Up” is on each item of clothing… onesies, bibs and tees for babies, short- and long-sleeved tees for kids and moms, and even shirts and bandanas for doggies, too! In addition to “Hug Me Up,” each item features another uplifting, positive saying, such as “I’m Adorable,” I Just Arrived,” “I Love You Grandma,” “I’m a Survivor,” “Life’s Ruff” – and many more!

There is something so powerful about a hug. It can work wonders, whether you’re feeling down or you’re at the top of the world. Kim understand this… and she is spreading the word through her uplifting clothing line. Poke around the site and read her blog (oh, yeah! Another great thing about this site is Kim’s personal blog!) and I am sure you, too, will be amazed by this strong, inspiring woman!

And now, my thoughts on the products! The first thing I noticed is how soft the cotton is… and, of course, how adorable the item are, from the signature “Hug Me Up” illustration to each uplifting saying. I put the bandana on Tansy and she looked so cute!

Then I went to my sister’s house and had her 3 oldest boys try on the tees. They each chose the one they wanted and, well, of course they looked so cute, too!

Alex loved his Hug Me Up tee so much that he wanted to pose by himself.

And he actually loved the heart illustration so much that he made my brother-in-law take out his sketch pad and draw one just like it. 🙂
