We’ve been doing the CVS 5K Classic Kid Races since 2006. Benjamin was 6 months old the first year we ventured down and had William (then 2) and Alexander (then 1) run. They had a blast! My little guys.

Each year we’ve gone back with them to race (and added another McClelland in there!)… 2007, 2008, 2009 and now this year, 2010. I’m not kidding when I say this – my boys look forward to this event all year long. I mean, literally… all year long. CVS does a great job providing fun little goody bags for the kids and every child that participates wins a medal. As every mom can imagine, that for them is the highlight. They ALL leave with something.

We almost overslept this year. When the alarm went off at 6AM, we (by mistake) turned it off to sleep for “2 more minutes.” I woke up to the clock reading 6:57AM and JUMPED out of bed… we got everyone up, dressed and out the door by 7:20AM. Not bad.

The excitement downtown always gets everyone moving and smiling READY to rock and roll!

William took 1st PLACE in the Kindergarten category! We were so excited!

And then… the other guys realized they all don’t get trophies. Alexander wasn’t happy.
