I’ve been counting down the days for August 15th since the beginning of July… that was when Carnival Cruise asked me and my family to be one of their blogger Ambassadors. To say I jumped at the chance is putting it lightly! Believe it or not, we’ve never been away on a family trip with just the 6 of us. We usually always have some kind of “back-up” with us… otherwise known as my parents or Matt’s parents (or the aunts and uncles). This is a first-time-family-trip with the 6 of us… and we cannot, cannot wait! We thought a Carnival Cruise with the kids would be an adventure and trip of a lifetime that they would be never forget!

We’ll be heading out on a 7 day trip and we’ll spend 3 full days at sea, and then will visit 3 ports: Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay (a private island owned by the cruise line) and Freeport in the Bahamas.

Truthfully, I don’t know what to expect. I’ve never been on a cruise before (nor has my husband). Everyone has told us to take advantage of the Carnival Kid Camp…

And everyone has told us to just relax and have fun! (Which I know we’ll be able to do!)

I’ll be updating all week. Right now we’re in the beautiful city of Baltimore counting down ’til we can head over to Locust Port! I’m super excited that my friend Colleen and her family are coming, too! Fun times with all the kids!

And I keep thinking… if we can do this with 4 boys, 5 and under… we’ll be coming back every year!
