Louis Vuitton. 2 words that make me smile from ear to ear.

Today’s my 32nd birthday, so I wanted to write about a brand that I absolutely, positively ADORE! My mother asked me last week “What’s something you’d just love to have for your birthday?”

Ahhh… the open-ended. My response, “Anything Louis Vuitton.”

I’m a Louis lover. I really am, loud and clear… through and through. My love affair with Louis Vuitton started on my birthday 9 years ago. I was just about to turn 23. I was working for Donna Karan in NYC at that time, just about to be married. Many people had these gorgeous dark leather LV monogrammed handbags, totes, clutches and wallets. I would talk endlessly about “saving up for something.” Well… at that time in my life that was not-about-to-happen (putting it lightly). I was making 30K a year at my first at Donna Karan. Rent and food were a little more important than sporting a Louis Vuitton Noe Bag.

But… on my 23rd birthday in NYC, the girls and Donna Karan all pitched in and bought me my first Louis Vuitton item… a GORGEOUS Small Ring Binder Agenda!

Not a day has gone by when it hasn’t been on me. I actually prefer writing my appointments down in my agenda… I don’t use my iPhone or MAC calendars.

My parents ended up buying me my very first Louis Vuitton bag for my 29th birthday. I had just had my 3rd son, and it was the biggest surprise in the world! My Noe Bag, which was first designed in 1932 to tote champagne bottles around in.

And then… my husband added to my Louis Vuitton Collection in December of 2007 with a Louis Vuitton Sarah Wallet.

There are 3 things in particular I love about Louis Vuitton.

1. The history of the company has always intrigued me. Louis Vuitton was created in 1854 by Monsieur Vuitton. He started his Collection with a flat-bottom trunk with trianon canvas. Due to his travels previous, he knew what would make traveling easier – so he designed and created it. There’s a rich history.

2. The craftsmanship and quality is incredible.

3. The style is clean and classic. I’m not a bells and whistle girl when it comes to my handbags. I like something to be extremely versatile. I love that I can wear my Louis Vuitton with anything… I can have flip flops and shorts or I can have an evening gown. It just works.

SO… on my birthday. What’s on my Louis Vuitton WISH LIST? 2 items jump out at me…

Neverfull GM. This is something I absolutely would LOVE to own!
