Plie Brazilian Shapewear. I even type it with a smile across me face! It’s AMAZING. Let me bold that… AMAZING.

I was sent Plie Brazilian Shapewear to try out… I have to be honest, at first – I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. I’ve don’t really wear Shapewear… just when I wanted to squeeze into something extra form-fitting. Being a work-at-home mom, it’s not something in my usual-day-attire that I think about. Especially… as many work-at-moms know, when I spend my days writing in (what I like to call) “comfy clothes.” Not to mention, I felt wearing anything extra in the clothing department would be a pain…

I was so very, very wrong… and just downright clueless! (I’ll admit it.)

Plie is Shapewear for ALL DAY long. The lingerie brand from Brazil established in 1998 by the Highstil Group in São Paulo… they promised smooth, sensual, seam-free lingerie for today’s modern, dynamic women. But why ALL DAY? The Plie concept of wearing shapewear all day was developed in Brazil where the year-round warm weather played an important part in product development. Plie treat every single micro-fibre of the product with their unique moisture-management system which draws perspiration gently away from the surface of the skin and as it evaporates, it naturally keeps you cool. With it’s 10-15% Lycra content, the close fitting garments can be worn all day and she’ll hardly know she’s wearing it at all.

This is what intrigued me… the moisture-management system. I thought that was genius! As a mom of 4 boys, I’m constantly here, there and everywhere. Not to mention trying to bang through about 100 work things per day… I’m anything but “sitting still” and I love that about my life. So when I read about the concept behind Plie… it made perfect sense to me and I tried them out!

I tried out the Plie Fitted Bermuda Shorts and the Plie Essential Tank.

The Control Bermudas were awesome! I have been wearing these ALL THE TIME NOW! They fit perfectly under jeans (they go great with skinny jeans and white pants!). When anything promises to flatten the tummy, smooth your hips and support your back – you’re hooked! In all seriousness, they Shorts completely lived up to its promise. Not only that… they’re oh-so-comfy! I’ve worn the shorts under dresses, skirts and even (yes…) capris. They really fit fabulously. I highly (highly) recommend trying some out!

I loved the Essential Tank! I wore it to a Women’s Expo I was speaking at last Sunday. I knew I’d be speaking in front of a large group of people… and I knew I’d be networking. I wanted to feel comfortable, as well as look business-ready. I wore it under an Anne Klein pink tank I had just bought… it was perfect! It didn’t ride up. It stayed out. It left a seamless look. And more of all, it was amazingly comfortable. That’s what I wanted. It actually promises to “correct posture” and it totally does! I can’t say enough about it… I loved it!
