Members Project from American Express and TakePart.com

American Express has partnered with TakePart to create the Members Project.

They are encouraging everyone to make differences in the world one step at a time. I love the concept behind Members Project because it’s making long-lasting and meaningful differences and changes in people’s lives and for our world. That’s powerful! It’s the opportunity for people to have a platform to express their personal passions and feelings. It’s about doing good in this world. It is truly remarkable and it all starts with YOU.

It’s 1 step. That’s it. And that 1 step will leave a huge ripple…

How can you take that step?

Simply join the Members Project, then you’re eligible to:

Members Project gives you a list of charities that you can support. All you have to do is pick and click! Vote once per week for the causes American Express should fund. Members Project is donating $200K to five causes every three months. That’s $200K! Don’t forget to keep doing this… voting ends for this quarter on May 24, 2010. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a cause close to my heart, so it has been wonderful being able to support the foundation.

Find an amazing volunteer position for yourself. Volunteering is a great way to give and American Express will help you refine your search by location and keywords so that you can find the perfect cause for you.

If you are able to do so, donate. Donate money or Membership Rewards® points to one of each voting period’s 50 selected charities, or choose from over 1 million other charities.

And the easiest way to get involved… tell someone. Share the wealth. Share the news. It’s never been easier to make a difference in this world.
