Tennis, Anyone!? A Giveaway!

Ever since I made the decision to move back to RI from NYC, I have been putting a little list together in my head of Only-In-New-York things I MUST do before leaving. One of those things – attending an event at Madison Square Garden – is already taken care of for me!

I am so excited that on March 1 I get to see Serena Williams (2009 Australian & Wimbledon Champion), Venus Williams (Seven-time Singles Grand Slam Champion), Svetlana Kuznetsova (2009 French Open Champion) and Kim Clijsters (2009 US Open Champion) battle it out at the 2010 BNP Paribas Showdown for the Billie Jean King Cup. It’s one set of singles semifinals followed by a best-of-three-set final for $1.2 million in prize money.

And I’m equally excited that I have a pair of tickets to the Showdown on MARCH 1 at 7:00 PM to give away!

  3. You have no idea how much I want to win this! My fiance’s birthday is coming up and he would SO SO love to see this match.

    I haven’t seen anything in MSG… yet. I was in NYC one night and walked by there while BB King was playing.. does that count? haha.

    I would love to see Kathy Griffen – I saw she was coming this month. Or the 101 Dalmations Musical, that is playing in April.

  4. I just read that Kim’s parents are both super athletic, too. One is a soccer star, the other a gymnastics star. I would ask her what she hopes for her own daughter in the world of sports, and if she hopes her daughter will follow the family legacy.

  5. What on earth made you want to leave NYC to come back to this crummy state? LOL. I can’t wait to get out of here one day! It sounded like you were having so much fun in NY.

    So, I’d love to win those tickets!!! I hope to see Kenny Rogers in Madison Square Garden someday. I absolutely love him, and saw him at Foxwoods several years ago. I wish he’d come back…. SOON!
