365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms

Fashion Advice for Moms brought to you everyday.

When I first started blogging 2 1/2 years ago, I blogged about product reviews and shared some of my own personal stories. What changed everything for me was the emails I was getting from moms asking me my fashion advice on certain things… they had read I had worked for Donna Karan, and just wanted my advice/opinion on certain things. The emails came so often… that I had one of those “ah-ha” moments. There weren’t any areas on the web talking about Mom Fashion (just Mom Fashion) every single day.

365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms started on New Year’s Eve night 2008. I wanted to create something totally different and unique in the mom blog space, so I decided to follow my passion and write about fashion, style and beauty. We’re busy. We don’t have the time anymore to give ourselves the luxury of looking good 24/7. We may want to, but it’s not going to happen – at least not always. By giving mother’s 1 easy piece of fashion/beauty advice a day, I want to make fun again for you. You don’t have to be buying the top designer brands or the cheapest of the cheap… let me show you some fun tips, easy advice and keep you updated in the latest trends/styles and how you can transition them into your wardrobe. There are so many fashion and beauty and shopping sites out there, but none geared towards offering 1 logical and doable piece of advice for MOMS. That was the difference. Every single day on Mom Generations, I provide fashion and/or beauty advice and tips specifically for moms.

As a mother of 4 boys, 5 and under.. and a former fashion exec in NYC for Donna Karan, I know the importance and need and desire to want to look good and feel good – but the time restraints we have as mothers gets in the way. We aren’t the top priority anymore, our family is now. The time in the bathroom in the mornings has been reduced to quick hair, quick makeup and brushing teeth. Gone are the days of spending an hour (or more) in front of the mirror. As for the fashion front, most likely the days of devouring fashion magazines has been replaced with devouring parenting magazines and books. Staying on top of trends and styles and new designers? What’s that?

This is how this ALL started… and I am shocked to see that my 365 Days are almost up (I have not – yet – missed a DAY!)!

I have been asked if I will continue… which is where this post comes in TODAY.

YES! YES! YES!

I am continuing my 365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms throughout 2010… and will be adding in Fashion Advice for Babies and Kids and Fashion/Beauty Deals! So keep tuning on IN!

Yay! I was worried I was going to have to return to my fashion victim days as of January 1st. Can’t wait for more.
